Interpersonal conflicts and emotional dysregulation can present significant challenges for people, affecting their presence, relationships and well-being. This workshop will equip you with practical, DBT methods, including the Mindfulness of Others five-part strategy, to promote self-regulation and effective engagement during emotionally charged situations.

You'll also gain insight into additional DBT-based techniques to support clients in maintaining emotional balance and confidently navigating interpersonal challenges. Whether clients struggle with emotional reactivity or ineffective interpersonal patterns, DBT strategies can provide effective solutions.

In this workshop, you will gain:

  • A deeper understanding of how mindfulness and other DBT strategies can play an important role in supporting challenging interpersonal dynamics.
  • Practical guide to the “mindfulness of others” five-part DBT strategy and mindfulness skills to cultivate awareness and intentionality in interactions.

Featured Instructor: Dylan Zambrano, MSW, RSW

Dylan Zambrano, MSW is the founder of DBT Virtual, an online dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) practice. He has several years of experience working on a DBT team within an outpatient mental health hospital setting, and provides DBT training, consultation and supervision to mental health therapists and organizations. He is the author of The DBT Skills Daily Journal, a book that combines guided journaling with DBT skills-building. Dylan also teaches courses in mindfulness and compassion meditation at the University of Toronto.
